  4. Gerhard, I removed your second comment because I really don't have the time to try and work your formulas out and explain. I have no idea what you were trying to work out anyway, it looked like the charging current but your question was also very unclear.

  5. Fritz,
Outstanding job! You are certainly a multi-talented man. I believe the Internets finest calling is when people share their knowledge with others. It makes the internet a very valuable educationally tool. Thanks for sharing!!

  6. you've been busy. after the holiday I'm looking forward to beginning to accumulate parts for this.

what is the liklihood that we'll be able to buy pc boards from you?

  7. Thanks Tom, I just learned how to walk and chew gum at the same time :))

Dan, I received a bunch of these boards this week and I have a guy with the name of Shawn building one of these welders as we speak. I'm using his questions to write a manual and also to see what problems might come up. I will let you guys know when this is done and when the boards will be for sale. I will try (NO PROMISE) to get it done within 2 to 3 weeks.

  10. Awesome job with this project Fritz! The price on the mosfet from the HK vendor seems a little too good. Are you sure they are not selling the IRFP2907ZPBF as an IRFP2907PBF? The $3.50 price point seems more in line with the Z part which has a continuous drain current rating of 90A as opposed to 209A for the non-Z.

  11. Thanks Matt. The vendor in Hong Kong sell the 209Amp mosfet for $3.50. I bought mine from them and had no problems. They also ship very fast.
