You keep me busy tonight jonny :)) An arc start circuit on a Tig welder is to start a plasma arc without touching the work piece. This is pulse arc, meaning, the electrode touches the work piece and then retracts at the moment the charged capacitors are connected to the work pieces, producing and arc hot enough to turn into a plasma flame shielded by argon gas.
One of your replies stated you may have more boards made if enough requests are made. Are you very close? I tried to contact you at sprbok.comcast.net but it bounced. So what is the best communication path to order and pay if the board decision is positive?

ReplyDeleteLooks great. Congrats!
ReplyDeletewith a typical tig they have an arc start circuit that creates a high voltage between the leads to draw an arc and has a constant arc.
ReplyDeletehow does the pulse arc welder work im a little mistified i guess as into how it actually

ReplyDeleteCan you explain more on how to use this circuit to build spot welder?
ReplyDeleteJade, I built this circuit to control the stylus and solenoid for the plasma arc welder. This circuit is not used in the spot welder.
